Motion2D is web based animation software. It runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Chromebook or a laptop you borrowed, and the heavy rendering happens on our servers, not your computer.

Prefer an animation PC app? There is also an open-source Windows app for people who want to run everything on their own machine.

Easy to use, without hiding the controls

Easy to use animation software usually means fewer options. We went the other way: sensible defaults for everything, and the controls are still there when you want them.

Change the voice, the aspect ratio, the length, the music level and the captions before you start. After the render, draw the whole video again with a note like softer colours, rainy evening (the script and voice are kept), or add more scenes when the story needs more time.

Is it good animation software for kids?

Children can use it with an adult, since it needs an account. Parents and teachers mostly use it to make kids story videos and lessons.
