About Motion2D
Motion2D exists because making a short animated video used to take a studio, a budget or weeks of learning. We think it should take a sentence and a few minutes.
Where it started
Motion2D grew out of ToonDirector, a free, open-source Windows app that anyone can read and run. The source code is on GitHub. The web version brings the same engine to the browser, with the heavy rendering done on our servers.
It is built and run by a small independent team. We are not affiliated with any of the companies we compare ourselves to.
How we use AI, plainly
Motion2D uses AI models to research, write, draw, voice and animate videos. Videos are made by software, not by human animators, and we say so.
The pages on this site were drafted with AI help and then checked by us against the product and against each source we cite. We don't invent experts, reviews or customer numbers. If you spot a mistake, email muzzamilkhaliddev@gmail.com.
