Terms of Service

Last updated 2 November 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Motion2D ("we", "us") for using the Motion2D website and web app (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Your account

You need an account to make videos. Give accurate details, keep your password safe, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

2. Plans, credits and payment

3. What you may create

You're responsible for the topics, scripts, links, footage and voice recordings you give us ("your input") and for how you use the videos. You agree not to use the service to create content that:

Only upload videos, or paste YouTube links to videos, that you own or have permission to turn into a cartoon. Only use your own voice, or a voice you have clear permission to use. We may remove content, stop a video or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

4. Your videos

As between you and us, you own your input and the videos the service makes for you, to the extent the law allows. We claim no ownership of them. You give us permission to store and process your input and videos only to provide the service to you, for example to make, show and let you download your videos. We don't use your videos or voice recordings to train AI models.

Whether an AI-made video is protected by copyright depends on the law where you are and on your own creative contribution. Our guide on AI animation and copyright explains this; it isn't legal advice.

5. AI limitations

Videos are made by AI. Scripts, research, pictures and voices can contain mistakes. Check facts before you publish, especially on health, money, law and news. Videos are not professional advice.

6. Our service

We work to keep the service running well, but it's provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable, slow or change. We may add, change or remove features. We'll give notice of major changes that affect paid plans.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, after warning you where that's reasonable. When an account is closed, your videos are deleted.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
